This is from a reference photo I took during the Whidbey Island Plein Air contest weekend. I started it this morning while drinking my coffee. It was such a treat to sleep in until 8:00 - then walk the dogs with my friend Kathy - a nice long leisurely walk on the beach (for us - lots of frantic running for the dogs :) and coffee and breakfast at about 10:00. Then listing to Canadian singer-songwriters from the CBC and painting... Life is good!
