Driving

This is a self portrait of me driving through the Skagit Valley. It was a beautiful Fall afternoon and I was enjoying every minute of it - driving and taking pictures along the way! I was originally drawing this as a sketch to paint over with watercolors but really enjoyed just drawing away with my graphite pencils and decided to leave it as it is.

Thank you Dominique! I don't really like doing them either but I want to get better at portrait painting so I might as well be my own victim:)

How fun! I love living here - even on a dark stormy wet day like today there is a wild beauty that just captures me. I've lived her for about 15 years and feel blessed each day. Thanks so much for visiting my blog! I look forward to keeping an eye out for your work too.
