Holding on to joy...

My dog Dusty has taught me so many lessons throughout his life. Now in what looks to be the final part of his time here he continues to teach me. He doesn't know about what the vet says but continues to live each moment with the exact same joy he has lived every other moment of his life. I hope that I can mirror his example as I walk through the rest of my days.

What a beautiful piece Shel! I was looking at your blog and found the wonderful piece on our Dusty bear, and was heartbroken. My wonderful DAY DOG! Kathy

Thank you Kath! And thank you for being Dusty's "day mom" and faithful walking companion for all his ten years.
