I've been having fun painting these little portrait studies - one of my nephew from an old grade school photo and two from friends who now live far away but keep in touch via Facebook - this week was retro week and I've been loving looking at all the old photos of my friends!

Dugualla Bay

I drive through Dugualla Bay on my way to work every day. Just a couple of weeks ago I discovered a new road and took several photos including the one used for this painting. I don't know what the red bushes are but I loved the rich colors and couldn't wait to paint it!

This is a painting that I am sending to New Hope Cattledog Rescue in the hopes that it will help my friends there in their mission to help Australian Cattle Dogs (aka: blue heelers) who are less fortunate than mine to find the loving homes they deserve. I have matted and framed it and will ship on Monday for their annual auction.
